Cheung Chau Shopping Area

Cheung Chau is a small island in the southwest of Hong Kong Island. Shopping in such a beautiful, well-equipped island full of clean air is a refreshing escape. There are many shops and restaurants starting from the ferry pier to Tung Wan Beach, covering clothes, electronic goods, supplies, flowers, and tea.

More than just shopping Cheung Chau is a wonderful contrast to the hustle and bustle amongst the skyscrapers that make up the commercial areas of Hong Kong.

Don’t forget to check out souvenir such as T-shirts and seashells here along with seafood products like dried squid, shrimp paste and salted fish are also very popular.

Cheung Chau Windsurfing Centre

You can hire windsurfing boards and sea kayaks plus there are souvenirs like T-shirts and hats for sale.

Park’n Shop

You can find almost everything you would need int this supermarket. If you are on a holiday in Cheung Chau, visiting here is likely a must.

Location: close to the ferry dock.

Fresh Market

As the main market of Cheung Chau, the market houses over 200 vendors, mainly offering fresh pork, chicken, seafood, vegetables, herbs, household items, and daily commodities. You can buy fresh food from here and bring them to some open-air restaurants to ask them to cook for you at a minimal price.

Location: Close to the ferry pier of Cheung Chau.

Getting there: From Central Pier 5 there is a regular ferry service that takes around 40 minutes and costs between 24-35 HKD. There is also a slower ferry which is a little cheaper see the ferry schedule
