Today I am going to share my picks of the top places to stay on Nathan Road in Kowloon, from clean budget options right through to five-star luxury. You probably already know that Nathan Road is one of Hong Kong’s prime thoroughfares, often called the Golden Mile due to it being lined with shops that are ever so popular with visitors to the city.
It also passes through many popular districts including Tsim Sha Tsui, Jordan, Mong Kok, and Prince Edward.
Nathan Road and the areas surrounding it, which include some of the most popular shopping areas in Hong Kong, are literally sprawling with accommodation options, so, here I will introduce my picks for the best places to stay in each category based on my own personal experiences, convenience for transport and MTR access, value, and aggregate ratings.
Let’s start with a map to get our bearings. As you can see, Nathan Road starts near to the harbour and heads north until it reaches Boundry Street in all about 3.6 km long. It’s serviced by an endless stream of buses and the MTR via the Tsuen Wan Line for its entire length and the northern section is also serviced by the Kwun Tong Line.
